Southwest XR Awards is dedicated to recognizing outstanding works in VR180, 360 video, spatial video, XR film, and immersive moving-image storytelling. We celebrate creators who are expanding the language of cinema through space, presence, perspective, and new forms of audience experience.

SWXR honors works that move beyond the traditional screen and invite audiences into a deeper sense of place, memory, emotion, and reality. Across documentary, fiction, performance, travel, culture, and experimental media, we seek projects that reveal what immersive storytelling can become.

Southwest XR Awards welcomes artists, filmmakers, studios, students, and independent creators from around the world. The award is built for a new generation of creators working across cinematic XR, spatial media, immersive documentary, and emerging visual formats.

Through seasonal selections and annual awards, SWXR provides a dedicated platform for immersive works to be discovered, recognized, and discussed. Official selections, finalists, and winners are chosen with attention to artistic vision, technical execution, immersive experience, and the originality of spatial storytelling.

Selected projects may be considered for future showcases, creator forums, and industry exchange opportunities, subject to separate permissions, technical requirements, and local exhibition conditions. SWXR aims to create meaningful pathways between online recognition, offline presentation, and professional exchange.

Rooted in Southwest China and open to the global XR community, SWXR seeks to build a bridge between international immersive creators, audiences, platforms, cultural spaces, and industry partners. We believe immersive media is not only a new format, but a new way to experience stories, places, and human presence.
